Special Club in Champagne can feel like an insider circle for true Champagne nerds, but I am hear to tell you–no more! You are all invited to immerse yourselves, and, in turn, elevate the quality of your life as a whole. What is Special Club? To obtain the “Special Club” on a bottle, the winemaker must be a member of the Trésors de Champagne Club (the aforementioned “Special Club”), must produce all their wines in their own cellars, and must vinify exclusively the harvest of their domain. The vintages must pass two tastings, the first one on the clear wines (Vin Clair) before bottling and the second one after a minimum of 3 years of aging in bottle. Only the vintages that pass these tests in Champagne are judged worthy of bearing the “Special Club” appellation. The Club itself is a group of like-minded growers committed only to one thing, producing the highest quality possible wines from their estates.
