Family growers & makers of old vine Zinfandel in the Napa Valley.
A singular project from Mike Hendry of Hendry Ranch, and his wife Molly Hendry, who’s uncle just happens to be Bill Moore, of RW Moore Vineyard. A historic and unarguably famous site planted in 1905 in the Coombsville AVA in Napa. Mike and Molly typically make one wine (Zinfandel), and every now and then there is a celebrity sighting of Rosé. Mike has been knows to ask the following question, “is a vineyard good because it’s old, or old because it’s good?”. I repeat this question all the time to people, because we often assume the fact that a vineyard is old is what makes the wines so interesting, but maybe it is old because everything made from that site over so many years, has been just that much better than elsewhere? Or maybe…it’s both? Enough esoteric mumbo-jumbo, you should just try the wine!
