Rockwell Vermouth
Old fashioned flavored
Rockwell Vermouth offers a fresh American take on a classic European spirit. Owner Birk O’Halloran spent years on a quest to find the right ingredients, partners, and processes for the perfect American Vermouth. Along the way, he discovered golden cane sugar caramelized for the impeccable balance of bitter and sweet by experts in the Carolinas; California black mission figs sun-dried by a family with over ninety years’ experience; a UC Davis-developed grape clone to serve as the base; and supportive local ranchers who allowed him to forage Artemisia Californica herbs from their Carmel Valley hillsides. Birk conducted more than three hundred herb extract trials across more than one hundred recipe batches. The result is an herbatious and aromatic vermouth worthy of modern American cocktail culture. Handcrafted in California, each small-batch production of Rockwell Vermouth is a testament to what’s possible when passionate artisans from around the country work together toward a shared vision.
San Lorenzo

San Lorenzo
With ten gold coins earned working as a cook in the California gold mines, my great-grandfather purchased the San Lorenzo Planting in 1896.
In 1896 Utah became the 45th state, Idaho allowed women to vote, and Pete Seghesio’s great great grandfather Francesco Passalacqua bought a vineyard in what is now Sonoma County’s Alexander Valley for 10 gold coins. This purchase was the beginning of a viticultural legacy. Pete and Cathy Seghesio now own and operate Journeyman and San Lorenzo, two tiny brands born from that original home ranch bought 123 years ago.

Sans Liege
Tending fruit in vineyards that have captured my heart from Paso Robles down to Solvang.
Sans Liege is winemaker Curt Schalchlin’s relentless search for independence. Equally aligned with the freedoms of the New World and the heritage of the Rhône Valley, he is careful not to hold too closely to either. Tending fruit in vineyards that have captured his heart from Paso Robles down to Solvang.
Sean Thackrey

Sean Thackrey
My only purpose in the entire universe as a winemaker is to produce pleasure.
Sean Thackrey was one of California’s most influential, eccentric, and game-changing winemakers. Alongside legends like Alice Waters, Jeremiah Tower, and Kermit Lynch, Sean had a guiding hand in a remarkable moment in history – the explosion of food and wine culture in the San Francisco Bay Area in the early 1970s. Releasing his first vintage in 1981, working in isolation in the tiny town of Bolinas on the coast in Marin County, everything Sean created was unqiue. He refused to release a wine, unless it was “not only delicious, but interesting”. Sean passed away in 2022, and his assistant winemaker Dustin Durfee is carrying the legacy forward with Pleiades Wine Company.
Sidekick

Sidekick
The Sidekick Series from Iconic Wine represents the finest wine we could create at everyday drinking value.
Sidekick is a project from Birk O’Halloran, a hospitality guy who cut his teeth in the New York City fine dining scene, and then landed in production many years ago. He has two wine brands. Iconic is single vineyard specialness from unique sites at great prices. Sidekick is every day drinking, over delivery wine that was born to run BTG on NYC wines lists, and then raised to share with everyone who likes something way (WAY) less expensive than it tastes.
Skylark

Skylark
The portfolio at Skylark includes crisp, flavorful, aromatic white wines and full-bodied, rich, spicy red wines.
Skylark is two friends, and long time Sommeliers John Lancaster and Robert Perkins. John has been the wine director at Boulevard Restaurant in San Francisco for multiple decades, and Robert was his assistant there for most of that time, until he left to help give Skylark the attention it deserved. It started as a whim, well before Sommelier-gone-winemaker was the norm, and more than 15 years later Skylark has grown and gained strength. Known for their iconic red blend, Red Belly, it’s counterpart rose, Pink Belly, and for their old vine Pinot Blanc. They make well balanced, site driven wines from older vines tended by exceptional growers.

Stirm

Stirm
Pioneering the future of old-school California viticulture and traditional wine from the rugged central coast.
Ryan Stirm is devoted to Riesling. As is evidenced if you click the “about” link on the Stirm website, the drop down menu has just three options: “Philosophy”, “Background”, and “Why Riesling”. AND, he has branched out with age, as we often do. His portfolio has diversified, and now we have a line up of (very) delicious, site driven, well packaged, and appropriately priced wines from California. Pinot Noir, check. A “classic” blend of Chardonnay and Riesling? Check! He also makes the label Los Chuchaquis with Jehan Hakimian, which brings us sparkling Albariño, sparkling Sangiovese, etc. Minimal intervention and maximum awesome.
Straightaway

Straightaway
We’ve perfected the art of the cocktail so you can perfect the art of the party.
Straightaway Crafted Cocktails are actual fancy pants bar level cocktails, that happen to be RTD (read to drink). And in the same way that the spritzes aren’t “malt beverages” (no hating here, White Claw has plenty of fans, some of whom are people I love!), these crafted cocktails aren’t watered down or sweetened up. There are no shortcuts in the jar. The only thing you might be missing is getting it handed to you after a long wait in a crowded bar by a guy with suspenders and a waxy mustache. They also have wine bases Spritzes, for all licenses and walks of life, and sizes from 50ml to 750ml. They are making life easier one sip at a time.
Tatomer
Portfolio > Domestic Wines > Tatomer
Tatomer
One of the only white wine driven producers in CA and the Central Coast.
Graham Tatomer began working in the wine business at the age of 16 for Santa Barbara Winery. After two decades he realized that the sites that excited him were the coldest ones, lending to wines of lighter weight, nuanced flavors, and bracing acidity. Riesling is the ultimate grape to pursue these characteristics. No other grape conveys its region’s character and varietal flavor with the power, focus, and beauty the way Riesling does. In 2003, he packed his bags and moved to Austria to try to get a better grip on the growing and making of Riesling. He was able to find work with Weingut Knoll who, more importantly, have become a second family to him. They also turned him on to the Grüner Veltliner grape. What initially was planned to be a ten-week trip; turned into a year and two additional harvests. Today, Graham Tatomer makes over 4,000 cases, the bulk of which is Riesling and Gruner Veltliner, making him one of the only white wine driven producers in CA and the Central Coast.

Terre Rouge
Our wines are balanced and elegant, with complexity that develops as the wines age in bottle.
Bill Easton is the source. The original, the generator; unquestionably the reason we have so many interesting wines and producers coming out of Amador County these days. A mentor for many, revered in the press. If you haven’t tried anything from his arsenal in a while or at all, I recommend making it a priority. Sometimes you live up to the hype.
Turnbull Wine Cellars

Turnbull Wine Cellars
Dirt to Bottle, exceptional wines from the Napa Valley, as it should be.
Turnbull has been rooted in the culture and history of the Napa Valley, making wine of exceptional quality since 1979. A small, family owned winery, that punches far above it’s weight class. Winemaker Peter Heitz garners astronomical press year after year, and there is no question as to why when you dig into the quality and open a bottle. All estate, from their Oakville and Calistoga vineyards, with three Cabernets and a Sauvignon Blanc typically available, they showecase the best the Valley can offer, in an approachable and holistic way.

Union Sacré
Wines made from a lifetime of labor for the untelevised tables that unite the very heart of the world.
These wines are made for the tables of friends, by two friends, from different continents, Xavier and Philip, who arrived at the Central Coast from opposite ends of the Earth. Xavier is a WSET certified, oenology degree holder from France, Philip is a self-taught designer from Michigan. Between the two of them, Xavier and Philip have 35+ years experience working in Central Coast wineries. These are not wines of privilege and power; these are wines made from a lifetime of labor for the untelevised tables that unite the very heart of the world.
Valkyrie Selections
Valkyrie Selections
Brings wines from benchmark and emerging regions across the world to your table.
Valkyrie Selections is our original import partner! Way back in 2010, we were domestic only, with just a handful of brands. I had some boyfriend named Joe Corsini, who happened to work at The Spanish Table in Northern California. He tasted the “new stuff” being brought in by his friend’s Steve Graf, Baron Ziegler and Emily Peterson, and bought a bunch for the store, and encouraged us to have a conversation about representing the burgeuoning portfolio. Fast forward to today, and the their reach has expanded from Spain and France, to Australia and England. They have a strong domestic arm, which started with Banshee Wines, and is now Valravn, Averæn, Requeim, etc. Their team is innovative, dynamic, and always, always, always, ready to party!
Valravn

Valravn
Authentic Sonoma County Wines you can afford
Valravn is the core domestic brand of Valkyrie Selections. The evolution of a dream that started years ago with another label they created out of frustration, Banshee Wines. It began as a singular Pinot Noir made to provide value in a category living almost perpetually at $60 retail. At that time in the market, if it wasn’t $60, it was absolute crap. So you were either quality driven and pricey, or manufactured yuckiness, literally engineered for every day drinking. Baron Ziegler, Steve Graf and Emily Peterson just could not believe it wasn’t possible to have something worth drinking, at a price they could personally afford to pay. They came from European wine backgrounds over many years, most recently Baron and Emily at Eric Soloman Selections (primarily Spanish wine), and Steve at Martin’s Wines (Burgundy), and those backdrops helped shape the sense of place and vibrancy people came to expect from Banshee–at an amazing price. Fast forward some years, and they ended up selling Banshee, but keeping the contracts with the growers they had developed relationships with over the years, and subsequently creating Valravn. They began working with winemaker Rob Fischer, whose own relationships and experience in the area only elevated their game. They make Pinot Noir (of course), Chardonnay, Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon in Sonoma County. Each of those wines, every vintage, is an almost impossible equation to balance, but they manage to pull it off. Awesome fruit, exceptional vineyards, respectful winemaking, amazing prices. Magic? No. But pretty dang close.

Vaughn Duffy
Family-owned winery crafting small-batch Pinot Noirs and other limited bottlings.
Matt Duffy started his career as a winemaking intern for Siduri. After that stint, Matt went to Vinify, a custom-crush operation where he learned from many other winemakers and mentors. Eventually he ran operations at Vinify, and in 2009 Matt and his wife Sara purchased their first ton of Pinot Noir and made two barrels of wine. This is as small production as it gets, but somehow they have developed a cult following over the years. Their moto, “it takes a forklift to raise a wine”, and you can taste the dedication and hard work in every glass.
Vinoce
Portfolio > Domestic Wines > Vinoce
Vinoce
Devoted to creating wines that reflect the true expressions of Mount Veeder with balance, power, and uniqueness.
Brian and Lori Nuss founded Vinoce from high above the valley floor on Mt. Veeder in 1996. In partner ship with their winemaker Keith Emmerson (Vineyard 29, Robert Craig, etc), and over three decades they have turned themselves into mountain fruit experts, focusing on Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. They have also created excellent long term relationships with vineyards on the valley floor for Sauvignon Blanc and their St. Helena Cabernet. These wines are tiny production, under the radar, and well worth exploring.
Wrath
Portfolio > Domestic Wines > Wrath
Wrath
Represent a nexus of nature and an unbridled passion for winemaking.
Wrath produces site-driven Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Sauvignon Blanc from their estate vineyard and respected properties in the Santa Lucia Highlands. They are located at the base of the “corner” of SLH, where the highlands make a curve. Soil type and exposure are very similar to their higher neighbors, just less extreme, making for some unique expressions of the local varietals, with balanced intensity and devotion to the details. Owner Michael Thomas is an archeologist by trade, and is deeply connected to the history of humanity, winemaking and otherwise.
